Influential, short lived.
The Yardbirds – a 1960s British musical group – were known for their musical inventiveness – turning the rhythm and blues genre into psychedelic rock.
The group also was home to some of rock’s best guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck.
They kicked off their career in 10964 at London’s Marquee Club – introduced as “the most blueswailing Yardbirds.”
Four years later -1968 – the band called it quits and in 1992 the group was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
