Life often is filled with those Aha moments.

For one of the best rock bands Booker T and the MGs there were several.

The place Memphis.

Two sets of high school friends – they did not know each other – played in separate bands.

One was white, one was black.

One of the band members worked at a record store, the other was a regular customer at the store.

And, of course, often they would talk – eventually all that talk leading to the creation to one of rock’s greatest bands, Booker T and the MGs
