Roy Orbison – truly a musical Titan.
Often called to ‘the Big O’, ‘the Caruso Of Rock’, Orbison was shy, unassuming and suffered from stage fright, wearing his signature sunglasses in an attempt to overcome it.
Orbison starting performing as a teenager. Soon he signed record deals and from 1960 to 1966, 22 of his single records reached the Billboard Top 40 chart.
After that success Orbison suffered various personal tragedies and his career spiralled downwards, but by the 1980s his career rebounded after releasing several new songs.
