Tasting Notes

German wieners have a different taste and texture to them. They are made of pork, salt, water, and spices, no additives. They have hardly have any taste to them, kind of bland, but a bit sweet. But when you add condiments they pop and when you bite into them they have a nice snap and pop to them.

What You Need.

2 German wieners – we love them, they have a bit of a crackle and pop when you cut into them and are juicy.

2 Brioche hot dog buns.

Frozen French fries.

1 corn on the cob.

Condiments for the hot dogs – we used relish, sweet pickles, ketchup. But use whatever you like, if our condiments aren’t your cup of tea.

The equipment.

A pot large enough to hold the hot dogs.

A sheet pan.

Method.

Place enough French fries on a sheet into a 425 degrees Fahrenheit oven for 20 minutes. When there are 10 minutes left add your corn on the cob.

Place the German wieners into the pot of simmering water. The wieners will take about eight minutes to cook.

Once done, take your hot dog bun, cut in half and add your wiener, also cut in half. Then add your condiments.

When the fries and the corn on the cob are ready, take out of the oven. Cut the corn in half.

You are ready to plate.
