Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Still a musical force to be reckoned with.

Although the band hit the heights of their career in the 70s their music still resonates with fans.

Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits, released in 1976, still is in the Billboard200 album chart.

In December 2020 it reached the 500-weeks mark and had been awarded platinum level – 10 times.

Their single – Proud Mary – became the group’s most-covered song, with some 100 versions by other artists.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said this about their music:

“Creedence Clearwater Revival … were progressive and anachronistic at the same time. An unapologetic throwback to the golden era of rock and roll, they broke ranks with their peers on the progressive, psychedelic San Francisco scene. Their approach was basic and uncompromising, holding true to the band members’ working-class origins.”
