Toronto-born Neil Young is a singer-songwriter, musician and political activist.
Before settling down as a solo artist Young lead a life of constant change, where he lived and the various bands he was a part of.
Moody, difficult to get along with, he is one of the critically-acclaimed and important musicians of the 21st. century.
Rolling Stone – in 2000 – named him number 34 on their list of the 100 greatest musicians.
Several times he has received music’s highest awards, the Grammy’s in the U.S. and the Juno’s in Canada.
Young is actively opposed to global warming, despises the rampant corporate greed he sees throughout the world and the use of genetically modified seeds.
Here are three of my favourite pieces of music of his.
Harvest Moon
Heart of Gold.
