Richmond is British Columbia’s fourth largest city.

It also has another designation – Canada’s Hong Kong.

And that should not be surprising given that almost 75 per cent of its 200,000 residents are of Asian descent.

Richmond Chinese Street Signs

Chinese restaurants dot the landscape on most main streets and in the endless strip malls.

The food rivals the fare in Taipei, Beijing and Hong Kong – street food or fine dining.

One of the best is Hong Kong BBQ Master.
Well known international food magazine have waxed poetic about its BBQ offerings.
For the last 10 years, BBQ it’s been winning the best BBQ designation in an annual Vancouver Chinese restaurant competition.

Major personalities, actor Seth Rogen, renowned Chef David Chang, love it.

The restaurant itself – a little hole in the wall – is located in an underground parking garage.

It’s BBQ dishes are sublime – their roast pork, succulent, moist, salty and the roast suckling, crispy skin, a delight.
We have been eating or doing takeout at HK BBQ for eight years.

Never been disappointed.
